"Hellsweeper VR"
Hellsweeper VR is an intense roguelike first person combat experience set to be release on Meta Quest 2, PS VR2 and other PC VR Platforms. Traverse the underworld where every step brings a challenge or a chance.
I was commissioned to model some weapons and props, from modelling, to hi poly sculpting, to optimizing and texturing.
The models are optimized for Unity and VR.

Rifle
I had the honour of modelling the Rifle and its several attachments. Due to the nature of the game being made in Unity and also a VR game, we had to be very conscious of our tri count budget. It was tricky to keep the tri count low while still ensuring the overall silhouettes look good, with the guidance of the art director I was able to pull it off. The final in game model's texture looks slightly different from the version I submitted as the in-house team tweaked some of the textures for the final version.
Axe
This was the first thing I modelled during my time freelancing at MixedRealms! It was my very first time modelling a prop for an actual game, it was very exciting and I have learned a lot about optimizing and 3D production pipeline while working on this.
Hellhound Toy
Probably the thing I had the most fun modelling during my freelance! I have always loved things that has a cute-creepy vibe. I learned how to use a trimsheet to texture the barrel and also creating hair cards for the hay/hair.
Totem
I was tasked to do the concept work for both the totem/artifacts and also 3D model them. Some of the textures (roots,slime,spawning totems) are done using existing textures in the game to ensure consistency, the rest of the texture is done in Substance 3D Painter.
